Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 is a Tennessee whiskey from the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee. It comes in a 200ml bottle at 40% ABV and carries no age statement.
The mashbill is 80% corn, 12% barley and 8% rye. The new distillate is mellowed drop by drop through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal, known as the Lincoln County Process, before it goes into new white oak barrels to mature.
The nose brings toasted oak, vanilla cream, caramel and orange peel. On the palate it is creamy, with caramel and brown sugar, then gentle rye spice, light chocolate and toffee apple. The finish is medium, with char, sweet fruit and toasted oak.
