Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 is a Tennessee whiskey from the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, bottled at 40% ABV in a 1 litre bottle.
The mashbill is 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye, made by the sour mash process. The new spirit is mellowed through sugar maple charcoal in the Lincoln County Process, then matured in new American white oak barrels. It carries no age statement.
The nose is banana bread, brown sugar and caramel. The palate has vanilla, caramel, cinnamon and nutmeg, with a clean, slightly smoky backbone. The finish is medium, dry and oaky, with toffee.
