Jack Daniel's Rye is a Tennessee rye whiskey bottled at 45% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The mash is 70% rye, 18% corn and 12% malted barley, and the whiskey is matured in charred American white oak casks.
The bottle is shaped after the Old No. 7 design, with a green, textured parchment-style label that marks it out as a rye. Jack Daniel founded his distillery in Tennessee in 1866.
The nose combines red berries, rye spice and oak. On the palate there is caramel with spice, leading to a warm, peppery finish.
