Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select is a Tennessee whiskey bottled at 45% ABV in a 1 litre bottle, made as a tribute to Frank Sinatra, a lifelong Jack Daniel's drinker.
It starts from the Old No. 7 mash bill of 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye, mellowed through sugar-maple charcoal, then spends further time in Sinatra Barrels. These are American oak barrels with deep grooves hand-carved into the staves, which expose more toasted oak. The result is darker and fuller-bodied than Old No. 7. It won a Silver Outstanding at the International Wine & Spirit Competition.
The nose offers oak spice, vanilla, caramel, cola and dried orange peel. On the palate come silky caramel, banana, dark cherry and pecans, and the finish is long, with sweet oak and banana bread.
