Jack Daniel's Single Barrel 100 Proof is a Tennessee whiskey bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a single-barrel expression of Old No.7, drawn from barrels chosen by Master Blender Jeff Arnett.
The barrels are kept on the top shelves of the warehouse, where temperature swings are greater. Each bottle is filled by hand and numbered with the barrel it came from.
The nose is soft, with vanilla, toasted oak and caramel. The palate has good body and a slightly peppery edge, with sweet vanilla and caramel giving way to black pepper and tobacco. The finish is of good length, with caramel, cereal, oak and a hint of citrus.
