Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Proof is a Tennessee whiskey in a 375ml bottle, taken from one hand-selected barrel and bottled at natural cask strength with no water added and no chill filtration. Strength varies from barrel to barrel, typically between 125 and 140 proof.
It is made from an 80% corn mash bill and mellowed through sugar maple charcoal by the Lincoln County Process. The barrels are chosen from the upper floors of the rickhouse.
The nose is toasted oak, dark caramel, dried fruit and vanilla with baking spice. The palate is full and oily, with charred oak and dark chocolate, and the finish is long, with oak tannin, caramel and pepper.
