Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Heritage Barrel Toasted Barrel (75cl, 50%)

This is a single barrel Tennessee whiskey from the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, bottled at 50% in a 750ml bottle. It is aged in heavy-toasted, lightly charred new American oak for a minimum of seven years, depending on the barrel. Each barrel is chosen from the highest reaches of the Lynchburg barrelhouses. A lower barrel entry proof of 100 proof (50%) lets the whiskey take up more of the oak's sweetness. The mash bill is 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye. The nose is soft toasted oak, vanilla bean and graham cracker. The palate is silky, with vanilla, marshmallow, caramelised sugar and toffee, and the finish is long, warm and sweet.
