A Tennessee whiskey from the Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Collection, bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The Heritage Barrel was first explored in limited releases in 2018 and 2019, and became a permanent expression in August 2025.
The whiskey is aged in a toasted barrel from the day it is filled, rather than being finished in one late on. The barrels are toasted for 24 minutes, twice the standard 12, then given only a flash char. Maturation lasts a minimum of seven years in the distillery's highest warehouses, and the spirit is mellowed through sugar maple charcoal as every Jack Daniel's is.
The nose is dark and fruity: blackberry, black cherry, raisin and plum, with cinnamon, apple, custard, caramel fudge, cola and a touch of cedar.
