Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Rye is a Tennessee rye whiskey made from a mash of 70% rye, 18% wheat and 12% malted barley. It was created by Jeff Arnet, the distillery's current master distiller, and is the first new mash bill from Jack Daniel's in 150 years. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines toasted nuts, spiced rye and caramel with banana and custard. The palate is lightly peppery, with spiced wood and rye, apricot and vanilla. The finish is warm and spicy, with pepper, vanilla, rye and cinnamon.
