Jack Daniel's – Single Barrel Select Tennessee Whiskey (75cl, 47%)

Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select is a Tennessee whiskey bottled at 47% ABV in a 750ml bottle. Every bottle comes from a single barrel chosen from the upper floors of the Lynchburg barrelhouses, so each barrel differs slightly in nose, colour and taste. The mash bill is 80% corn, 12% malted barley and 8% rye, and the whiskey is mellowed through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal before it goes into barrel. It carries no age statement; the Master Distiller and a team of tasters choose each barrel when they judge it ready. The producer's notes describe sweet fruit and vanilla with a touch of spice on the nose, spice with warm, rich caramel on the palate, and a finish of medium oak, clove and banana.
