Jack Daniel's – Twice Barreled Special Release Heritage Barrel Rye Whiskey 2023 (70cl, 50%)

This is the 2023 Single Barrel Special Release in Jack Daniel's Twice Barreled series: a Tennessee rye whiskey bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The mash bill is 70% rye, 18% corn and 12% malted barley, and the spirit is charcoal mellowed before ageing. It was matured for at least five years in new charred American white oak, then finished for over two years in heavily toasted, lightly charred Heritage Barrels made at the Jack Daniel Cooperage. The neck label prints the entry dates for both barrels and for bottling. The nose is toasted oak, light spices and honey. The palate is oak, vanilla, toasted rye bread and molasses, and the finish is graham cracker and brown sugar balanced by rye and barrel notes.
