Jacob's Pardon Small Batch Recipe #3 is an 18 year old American whiskey, bottled at 71.35% ABV (142.7 proof) in a 750ml bottle. The mashbill is 99% corn and 1% malted barley, and the whiskey was barrelled nearly two decades ago. The long maturation lets the corn come through, and the whiskey is described as light yet full-bodied. The nose is caramel corn, black cherry and prune Danish, with baking spices, clove, vanilla bean and pipe tobacco. On the palate, caramel corn, black cherry and prune Danish are joined by plenty of nutmeg, clove, cinnamon and vanilla bean, with pipe tobacco again in the background.
