This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from James B. Beam Distilling Co., sold as Beam 100 Months Old. It is an eight-year-old whiskey, distilled in 1973 and bottled in 1981 at 40% ABV, in a 75cl decanter.
The bourbon comes in the Samoa decanter, made of Regal porcelain and designed by Charles Miller. Bottling bourbon in decanters took off during the 1960s, and Jim Beam embraced the practice more fully than any other producer.
