This is a 4 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from James B. Beam Distilling Co., sold in a ceramic stein decanter. It was distilled in 1979 and bottled in 1983 at 40% ABV, in a 75cl bottle.
From the 1960s to the 1980s, much of the 4 to 8 year old Beam's Choice bourbon made for the US market was bottled in decorative decanters, including Wedgwood styled vases and designs inspired by western prints.
The Beam family rebuilt its business after Prohibition, with Jim Beam re-opening the Clermont distillery in 1935.
