Black & White is a blended Scotch whisky from the 1950s, at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
It was first produced by the London-based blender founded by James Buchanan. The whisky was originally called House of Commons, as it was the official whisky there, and its nickname, which refers to the black and white labelling, was eventually adopted as the brand name. The black Scottish Terrier and white West Highland Terrier on the label were conceived by Buchanan himself in the 1890s. The brand is now owned by Diageo.
