This is James Buchanan's Black & White, a blended Scotch whisky from the 1970s, at 40% in a 113cl bottle. It was first produced by the London whisky blender founded by James Buchanan. The whisky was originally called House of Commons, as it was the official whisky there, and its nickname, taken from the black and white labelling, eventually became the brand name. Buchanan himself devised the black Scottish Terrier and white West Highland Terrier motif in the 1890s. The brand is now owned by Diageo.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
