This is a 16 year old Glenlossie, a Speyside single malt bottled independently by James Eadie. It was matured in a first-fill Oloroso sherry cask and bottled at a natural cask strength of 52.4% ABV, with no added colour and no chill filtration. Just 697 bottles were released.
The nose offers jelly sweets, ripe summer berries and fruit compote, with floral notes, cinnamon, cardamom and polished oak. The palate brings red apples, figs and orange peel with sultanas, cloves and soft baking spices. The finish is long and warming, with strawberry preserve, oak spice, black pepper and dried fruits.
