Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition (70cl, 40%)

Jameson Caskmates Stout Edition is an Irish whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% vol. It grew out of the practice of lending Jameson casks to the neighbouring Franciscan Wells brewery. Once the stout had finished maturing in them, the casks were returned to mature Jameson blend. This cask swap gives a whiskey with more spice, more oak and more malt character. The nose is very fruity, with grass, green apple, roasted nuts, dark chocolate and barley. The palate is sweet and malty, with cocoa beans, roasted almonds and oak. The finish is long and sweet, with notes of milk chocolate.
