Jameson Gold Reserve is a blended Irish whiskey, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is made from selected casks of Jameson, with whiskey up to 20 years old, and includes some that was aged in virgin American oak. It was first called Jameson XO and made for the Asian duty free market.
The nose shows a full pot still character alongside ripe, juicy sultanas, a yeasty fruitiness and acacia honey. The palate opens sweet and crisp with unmalted barley, then turns to rich, creamy oils and honey.
