Jameson IPA Edition is an Irish blended whiskey from the CaskMates Series, created by Midleton Distillery in collaboration with local Irish craft brewers.
Jameson's triple-distilled whiskey is finished in barrels that previously held craft Irish pale ale. The barrels went from the distillery to the brewers to age their IPA, then came back to finish the whiskey, which gives it a citrus-led, lightly hoppy edge.
The nose is bright, with lemon zest, light hops, green apple and subtle florals. The palate is crisp, with gentle bitterness, orchard fruits, hops and toasted barley. The finish is short to medium, with soft citrus oils and a trace of hops.
