Jameson Triple Triple is an Irish whiskey from the Midleton distillery in County Cork, bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is triple distilled and matured in three types of cask: bourbon, sherry and hand-selected European chestnut.
The chestnut casks are the addition that sets it apart from standard Jameson, which relies on bourbon and sherry maturation. They add a gentle nuttiness to the whiskey.
The nose is orange peel and vanilla with toffee, fudge and hazelnut chocolate. The palate opens with citrus, green apple and pear, then moves to toffee, cacao and toasted almonds with peppery spice. The finish is medium and velvety, with sweet sherry, toasted wood and dark chocolate.
