Jefferson's Ocean Aged at Sea Very Small Batch Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 45%)

Jefferson's Ocean is a very small batch blend of Kentucky straight bourbons, aged in barrels loaded onto a ship and matured at sea. The whiskey is bottled at 45% ABV. Each release is a numbered voyage with its own route, barrels and character; the current shipment is Voyage 34. The producer's notes for Voyage 34 describe crème brûlée, sweet tobacco and sea spray on the nose; caramel, light brown sugar, cinnamon, sea salt and a hint of espresso on the palate; and a long, smooth finish with notes of classic Cracker Jacks and sea salt. Another description adds a thick, viscous texture and a unique savoury brine from the salt air.
