Jefferson's Ocean Aged at Sea is a wheated bourbon from the United States, bottled from a single barrel, No 191, from Voyage 32. It is 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The mashbill uses wheat in place of rye, and the barrel travels by sea, crossing the equator through changing temperatures, humidity and ocean air, which speeds maturation. The nose offers salted caramel, dried fruit, toasted oak and vanilla bean. On the palate come honeyed wheat, butterscotch, sea spray and baking spices, followed by a long, warm finish with brine, leather and sweet oak.
