Jefferson's Reserve Old Rum Cask Finish Twin Wood is a straight bourbon from Kentucky, in a 75cl bottle at 45.1% ABV.
The bourbon matures first in American white oak casks. It then spends a further 15 months in old rum casks that previously held Goslings Family Reserve, an aged rum from Bermuda.
On the palate there is caramel, toasted oak and dark fruit, with a sweetness reminiscent of molasses, subtle spice and tropical notes. The finish is smooth and lingering.
