Jefferson's Reserve Small Batch is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 45.1% ABV in a 75cl bottle. Each batch is blended from only 8 to 12 hand-selected casks.
The brand was founded in Louisville by Trey Zoeller and his father Chet. It builds its bourbon through blending, using mature stocks from Kentucky Artisan Distillery and MGP of Indiana.
The nose combines vanilla custard, caramel and baked apple and pear, with rye spice and a hint of mint. The palate is viscous, with toffee, dark honey, cinnamon, clove and orange peel. The finish is long and warming, with caramel, vanilla bean and a slightly dry, citrus-tinged close.
