A 7 year old straight bourbon from Jesse James Spirits, distilled and bottled in Kentucky and aged in charred oak barrels. It is a small-batch bottling, and the label is styled as a wanted poster, with a sepia portrait and biography of the outlaw Jesse James.
The nose is toasted oak, leather-bound books and aged tobacco. The palate brings caramelised brown sugar, vanilla cream, charred oak and rye spice. The finish is long, smooth and slightly smoky, with saddle leather and dark fruit.
