Jim Beam Black is a Kentucky-style bourbon bottled at 86 proof (43%), aged for longer than the original Jim Beam and bottled only when judged ready.
It matures for years longer in American white oak barrels than the standard Jim Beam, and those extra years shape its full body. It won the Bourbon Trophy at the International Wine & Spirits Competition in 2016.
The flavour is described as smooth caramel with warm oak.
