Jim Beam Bourbon is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 40% ABV in a 200ml bottle. It is made by James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Clermont, Kentucky, using the sour mash process and a mashbill of 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley. The distillery has used the same yeast strain since 1933.
The nose is sweet, with vanilla, caramel, light cornbread and a hint of banana chip. On the palate come maple syrup, caramel and vanilla, with touches of peanut and honey and a gentle rye spice. The finish is moderate, with lingering oak and a little baking spice.
