Jim Beam Bourbon is a Kentucky straight bourbon, aged for a minimum of four years in freshly charred new American oak barrels and bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle.
It is made by the sour mash method from a mashbill of 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley, and distilled at Clermont in Kentucky.
The nose offers vanilla and caramel with light oak and soft, bready grain. Sweet corn and vanilla lead the palate, followed by caramel, overripe banana and a little baking spice. The finish is medium in length, with vanilla, gentle oak and a hint of clove or liquorice.
