Jim Beam Double Oak is a bourbon matured twice, in two separate charred oak barrels.
The first maturation takes place in charred American white oak barrels. The bourbon is then moved into freshly charred barrels for a second period of maturation. The extra contact with the wood gives a bourbon described as intense in flavour and smooth in taste.
