Jim Beam Double Oak is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is a twice-barrelled whiskey: it matures for three years, spends a day in new, freshly flamed American white oak barrels, and is then moved into new charred oak barrels.
The nose offers caramel and vanilla with some oak and a light smokiness. Vanilla and caramel carry through on the palate alongside oak, and the finish is long and gently spicy.
