A blended Scotch whisky from John Barr, bottled at 40% in a 1.75 litre bottle. It is made from 40 whiskies, including Highland and Speyside single malts aged up to 15 years, together with Scottish grain whiskies. Richard Paterson of Whyte & Mackay is the blender.
The blend is matured a second time in sherry casks.
On the nose are baked apple, ripe stone fruit, malty sweetness and vanilla, with a little peat smoke. The palate is honeyed, with chocolate, gingerbread, hazelnut and apricot. The finish is warm and long, with maple sweetness, sweet spice and a soft, rounded close.
