A 1950s bottling of Ancestor, the premium blend from John Dewar & Sons, in a 75cl bottle at 43% ABV. John Dewar & Sons received their first Royal Warrant from Queen Victoria in 1893, and every monarch since has renewed it. The company opened the Aberfeldy distillery in 1898, and it remains the core of its blends. Dewar's was later part of DCL and then Diageo, before the brand and its distilleries were sold to Bacardi in 1998.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
