John Jameson & Son Old Irish Whisky, bonded in 1920 and bottled by Ellis & Co. of Richmond, in a 75cl bottle. It is a Dublin whiskey from the days when Jameson was sent to local wholesale bottlers, each with their own label, and this bottle was filled in England. Its strength is given as 25 under proof, an old measure that comes to around 57.5% ABV today. The term dates from early testing in which gunpowder was soaked in the spirit and checked to see whether it would still ignite.
