This is a 12 year old Irish whiskey from John Jameson & Son, sold under the Redbreast name. It dates from the 1970s and is bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is a blend drawn from two Irish distilleries that have since closed. The pure pot still whiskey comes from Jameson's Bow Street, and the grain whiskey from Powers' John's Lane, since Jameson did not have a patent still. The pot still element is distilled from a mash of malted and unmalted cereals.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
