John L. Sullivan Irish Whiskey (75cl, 40%)

John L. Sullivan is a blended Irish whiskey in a 75cl bottle, named after the Boston-born heavyweight champion known as the Boston Strong Boy, who retired from the ring in 1905. The brand was reintroduced in 2018. It is triple-distilled in copper pot stills from Irish grain, then matured in single-use bourbon barrels rather than the ex-bourbon casks most Irish whiskey relies on. It is bottled at 40% ABV. The nose offers fresh apple, caramel, spice and oak. On the palate come caramel, vanilla, spice and apple, followed by a smooth finish with lingering notes.
