John Walker & Sons XR 21 The Legacy Blend is a blended Scotch whisky aged 21 years, bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It comes in a decanter-style bottle with a gold-coloured stopper, packed in a metallic gold box, and each bottle is individually numbered.
The whisky is golden, with a deep vermilion hue in some lights.
The nose is fruity, with vanilla, lotus flower and some wood. The palate is smooth, with peaches, nectarines, pineapple, coconut and waffle cone, and wood tannins add some tartness. The finish is of medium length, with caramel, a slight bitter note and vanilla.
