Johnnie Walker 18 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky with an age statement of 18 years. In the glass it is a rich honey amber with reddish hues in the deeper parts.
The nose is subtle and malty, with sweet cream, vanilla and candied almonds over a light medicinal note. The palate is creamy, dry and delicate, with sweet cream, warm cinnamon rolls and grapefruit zest. Smoke arrives quite late. The finish is soft and slow, with light smoke, lingering malt and a hint of pipe tobacco.
