Johnnie Walker Black Label is a blended Scotch whisky with a minimum age of 12 years, in a 1.75 litre bottle at 40% ABV. It is built from around 40 single malt and grain whiskies, each matured for at least 12 years, drawn from Islay, West Coast, Speyside and Highland distilleries.
A portion of the blend is aged in European oak sherry casks.
The nose is dried fruit, charred oak and a measured layer of peat smoke, with toffee and pecan. The palate is creamy toffee, vanilla and butterscotch, with glazed pecans, warm spice and gentle peat smoke. The finish is medium and smoky, leaving nutty, sweet notes and lingering peat.
