Johnnie Walker Black Label is a blended Scotch whisky made from around 40 malt and grain whiskies, each aged for at least 12 years. They come from Speyside, the Highlands, the Lowlands and Islay and are aged in oak casks. The blend is bottled at 40% ABV in a square bottle with a slanted label, and has been the house's icon since 1909.
Notes include caramel, soft smoke, green apple and vanilla on the nose. The palate offers toffee, dried fruit, gentle peat and black pepper, and the finish is smooth and slightly smoky, with oak, spice and orchard fruit.
