Johnnie Walker Blue Label is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is made from single malt and single grain whiskies from distilleries across Scotland, and only one cask in every ten thousand is judged good enough for the blend. Some of those casks come from long-closed distilleries.
The nose is honey and dried fruit with chocolate and a little smoke. On the palate, cigar smoke, toffee and vanilla lead to caramel, hazelnut, dark chocolate and subtle peat, with a saline note. The finish is long, with smoke, allspice, clove and dried oak.
