Johnnie Walker Blue Label is a blended Scotch whisky at 40% vol, in a 1750ml bottle. The label describes it as a blend of the brand's rarest whiskies, and gives 1820 as the year Johnnie Walker was established.
The nose opens gradually, with lanolin, smoke, hessian, polished wood floors, oak, liquorice, cake, red fruit and cream. On the palate are allspice, sultana cake and fresh malt, with peaty smoke that builds as the whisky opens. The finish is long and smoky, with fruit pastille notes.
