Johnnie Walker Blue Label Elusive Umami (75cl, 43%)

Johnnie Walker Blue Label Elusive Umami is a limited-edition Scotch blend, bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle. Master Blender Emma Walker created it with Japanese chef Kei Kobayashi to capture the taste of umami, selecting one cask in 25,000 for the release. It aims for a balance of savoury and sweet character. Blood oranges, red berries and sweet wood spice lead on the nose, with caramelised miso, grilled pineapple, cacao and blackberry tannin on the palate. The finish is long, sweet and fruity, with a mineral salinity.
