Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Pittyvaich (75cl, 43.8%)

Ghost and Rare Pittyvaich is a blended Scotch whisky from Johnnie Walker Blue Label, centred on stock from Pittyvaich, a Speyside distillery that ran from 1975 to 1993 and was demolished in 2002. Master Blender Jim Beveridge combined it with whiskies from Auchroisk, Craigellachie, Mannochmore, Royal Lochnagar, Strathmill, Port Dundas and Carsebridge. It carries no age statement and is bottled at 43.8%. The nose is ripe orchard fruit, with peach, baked apple and soft toffee. The palate brings vanilla cream, stewed fruit and milk chocolate, and the finish is long and gently spiced, with dried fruit, toasted oak and a floral note.
