The fifth release in the Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare series of limited editions, in a 75cl bottle at 43.8% ABV. It centres on Port Dundas, the Glasgow grain distillery built in 1811 and closed in 2010. Master Blender Dr Emma Walker chose aged Port Dundas whiskies matured in second fill American oak, for creamy vanilla, and first fill highly charred American oak, for subtle wood spice. She added whiskies from the closed Cambus and Brora distilleries, and rare Scotch from Cameronbridge, Glenkinchie, Clynelish, Dailuaine and Auchroisk. The notes include creamy wood, vanilla, soft smoke, spiced apples, and aromas of peaches and berries.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
