Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Port Ellen (75cl, 43.8%)

This is the second edition of Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare, a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 43.8% abv in a 75cl bottle. Master Blender Dr Jim Beveridge put it together from eight hand-picked whiskies, with Port Ellen at its heart. Two other closed distilleries, Caledonian and Carsebridge, contribute, alongside malt from Blair Athol, Oban, Mortlach, Cragganmore and Dailuaine. Each bottle is individually numbered. The nose is sweet, with creamy vanilla, and the palate opens with waves of waxy citrus.
