Johnnie Walker Double Black (75cl, 40%)

Johnnie Walker Double Black is a blended Scotch whisky, bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It is an intensified take on Black Label, built on the same foundation of whiskies aged at least 12 years. The blend uses a heavier selection of smoky malts, including Caol Ila and other Islay whiskies, and is finished in deep-charred oak casks. The deeper char adds a smouldering, burnt-wood note alongside the peat and spice, making it darker and smokier than Black Label while remaining a blend. The nose is smoky, with charcoal, dark fruit, dried tobacco and warm spice. Peat smoke, burnt timber, dark fruit and spice fill the palate, and the finish is long and smoky with peat, char and dark fruit.
