Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve is a blended Scotch whisky, described as a Master Blender's Reserve and sold in a 750ml bottle. Its limited-edition bottle is made to gleam like an Oscar statuette.
The colour is honey and harvested wheat. The nose offers baked apple with a hint of smoke, alongside almond paste, black pepper, baked pineapple, dried banana and buttered toast.
The palate opens with caramel, then dry leather and a malty note, with creamy sweet oak, vanilla wafer and baked apple. The finish is long, ending with a gentle waft of light smoke.
