Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve is a blended Scotch whisky at 40% abv in a 750ml bottle, made by Master Blender Jim Beveridge from approximately 15 single malts and grain whiskies. Clynelish, a Highland malt, sits at the heart of the blend, with Speyside sweetness and a hint of West Coast smoke added.
It was created to succeed the original Johnnie Walker Gold Label 18 Year, known as the Centenary Blend.
The nose is sweet, with honey, caramel, vanilla, baked apple and a hint of banana over a waxy, floral softness. The palate brings tropical fruit, creamy vanilla, blackcurrant and mango, building to nutmeg and gingerbread. The finish is long, with fruit and light, sweet West Coast smoke.
