Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is built around Clynelish single malt, combined with around 15 other single malts, including Cardhu and Blair Athol, and grain whisky from Cameronbridge. The whiskies were aged in American and European oak.
It sits between Black Label and Blue Label in the Johnnie Walker range and replaced the original Gold Label 18.
The nose brings heather honey, vanilla, baked apple and tropical fruit with a little smoke. The palate is creamy and rounded, with honey, caramel, vanilla, soft malt, nutmeg and ginger. The finish is medium, with lingering sweet smoke, ginger, dried fruit and toffee warmth.
